Frequently Asked Questions

At Allegheny R & D, some questions or problems seem to be brought to our attention on a regular basis. Below is a list of some of the the problems that we see, and how to get around them.

When trying to do a report, get a DAO ENGINE Error.

When trying to add a new user, getting a message saying that user number already exists, but you can't see them anywhere in the User List.

When logging onto Emma, getting a message that ECATS is locked, or when trying to start up ECATS getting a message that Emma is currently in use.

ECATS can't initialize the modem but it worked yesterday.

Bought a new computer and want to move Emma from the current machine, and put it on the new one.

Upgraded to 4.2 and Emma is not letting you in the system, or getting an error during the upgrade.

After downloading the 350.dll and 360.dll Emma or DATAMGR32 still not working.

Sometimes the Emma screen shrinks down so you cannot see the full screen.
